Dignity and the Death Penalty: A Conversation with Sister Helen Prejean and Dr. Jeannine Marino
Join RENEW International and the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington, for a conversation with Sister Helen Prejean and Dr. Jeannine Marino, as they discuss the death penalty in the United States and what current Church teaching has to say about this subject. Sister Helen Prejean is an outspoken advocate for abolishing the death penalty in the United States and is best known for her book, Dead Man Walking, which was turned into a feature film. Dr. Jeannine Marino is the Secretary for Pastoral Ministries and Social Concerns for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington. She holds an MA in Theology and a doctorate in canon law. While studying in Boston served as the American Friends service Committee in their prison ministry and advocacy office.
